Oil free Crispy Tofu
Hi it's me again! Thia time I have an Air fryer recipe! But if you do not have an Air fryer don't worry you can use your conventional oven and preheat at 425° 15 to 20 minutes and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. The good about crispy tofu you can serve as an appetizer or prepare a complete meal! Enjoy
1 extra firm Tofu
1/2 teaspoon of low sodium Tamari sauce
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoke paprika
Frank's hot sauce (I used almost 1 teaspoon but if you prefer less spicy use less)
3 or 4 tablespoons of water
Cut the tofu block in half, lengthwise, then slice each half into 8 squares of equal thick.
In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the batter except the tofu and allow the mixture to sit for at least 5 minutes. Transfer the tofu to the mixture coating and roll it around, then transfer the tofu to the Panko.
Tip: you can place the mixture in a plastic bag as ziploc plus tofu and then do the same with the panko using another bag.
Once you covered the tofu in the panko transfer them to the air fryer your are going to used 370° for about 15 minutes. If you want cooked them at 370 for 10 minutes if they are not golden add 5 more minutes and enjoy!
For the sauce:
With the remaining sauce add 1 tablespoon of Vegenaise and more Frank's hot sauce whisk everything together.
