Oatmeal with apples

Let me tell you that oatmeal and apples has become my new obsession! Why? Is so delicious, makes me feel full for a more period of time and you are eating fiber that is so important for your health. An apple a day keeps the doctor away" did you hear this before?
A 2006 study published in the journal Experimental Biology and Medicine found that quercetin (one of the antioxidants found abundantly in apples) was one of two compounds that helped to reduce cellular death that is caused by oxidation and inflammation neurons.
Another study published in the Journal of Food Science in 2008 suggested that if you eat an apple a day you can prevent Dementia too! Reduce your cholesterol too, and it also have vitamivitamin C and vitamin B. So let's eat apples!

1 organic red apple
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (maybe a little bit more)
Dash of salt (optional)
1/2 cup GF oatmeal
1 cup unsweetened Almond milk or any other plant based milk.

First cut your apple in little cubes. In a small saucepan pour your water, cinnamon, maple and apples cook, them until soft. Its going to take like 10 minutes approximately. While you are cooking your apples pour your oatmeal and milk and cook them for 10 to 15 minutes approximately at this point you add a little salt just a dash to the oatmeal. I never use salt but some people do so is up to you.
Once everything is cooked serve your oatmeal, add your apples on top. Also the apples water to sweeten the oatmeal and you can add more cinnamon or unsweetened coconut flakes for more flavor.
