Matcha and Coconut Chocolate balls!
If you like chocolate but you are afraid of those calories and refine sugar this recipe is for you! In this recipe I don't use refine or any kind of sugar. What I used instead of sugar was dates. Dates provide various antioxidants that have a number of health benefits to offer, including a reduced risk of several diseases, is high in fiber, and have some nutrients as B6, Magnesium, proteins and iron to mention somes. The best part..is raw, that means cook is not required and is good as a dessert and/or snack. I hope you enjoy my recipe!
1/2 cup of oatmeal
2 Tsp Plant based milk (I used rice milk)
1/4 cups of walnuts
1 Tsp Cocoa powder
Matcha powder, Unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
In a food processor add the dates, blend for a few minutes until you see a paste texture, then add the rest of the ingredients except the Unsweetened coconut flakes and Matcha powder. Blend again. What we are looking is for a sticky solid consistency to form the balls. I used 2 tsp of milk but feel free to add a little bit more just a little bit. We need this sticky consistency to form the ball.
Roll into bite sized pieces and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
You can eat just like that or you can cover them in Coconut flakes or Matcha powder as I did.
