Frijoles Negros or Black beans



One month ago I visited a Mexican restaurant and what I did was recreate the Frijoles negros flavor!


Ingredients:


1 organic can of black beans

5 Bay leaves

1/2 onion (I like red onions)

1 tsp Onion powder

1/4 tsp Brown sugar or Coconut sugar

1/2 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar (from Bragg's)

1 cup of water

Salt to taste


Method:


Sautee the onions in a little bit of water, if water evaporates add more, then add the rest of ingredients to you saucepan at high temperature. Let it boil about 5 minutes, then cook for about 20 or 25 minutes in medium to low temperature.
